I love London.
Born and raised near the forks of the Thames, right in Ward 13, the places and people of our city’s core live close to my heart. I’m a father, a worker, a tenant, and lifelong student. I believe no challenge is insurmountable; through cooperation, effective strategy, and hard work, even the seemingly impossible can be achieved. But first, we must show up.
So, I show up: to Council, as a strong voice for downtown, for my volunteer life science innovation work, and for my friends in our community. I show up to support and create effective, grounded solutions for London’s most complex problems.
My work is mainly guided by three principles:
Less Talk, More Action.
London needs new and better solutions to its problems built on what already works (like my Basic Housing plan) and these solutions must be implemented quickly. We cannot let excessive planning, stale thinking, or obsolete conventions stop needed progress. We need to move forward with speed, as best we can, immediately.
Compassion Needs Boundaries
Safe communities are built on understanding and compassion, but compassion requires healthy boundaries. We must balance love with duty so we can protect people, support recovery, and help everyone prosper.
Reconciliation and Unification
Reconciliation isn’t a catchphrase. The word speaks to the need for healing and unity in our community. It may begin with our shared obligations to Indigenous people and culture, but it also means healing our relationships with each other, the environment, and ourselves.
I focus on building unifying narratives and practical policies that bridge the divided communities of our time.
Main Platform
Basic Housing
Use Fed and Prov. development cash to quickly build hundreds of transitional housing units in commercial spaces to create safety and stability for our unhoused, supported by a centralized system for workers, food service, volunteers, reporting, and training.
Deeper Affordability
Shift London Plan and stack incentives to support more co-op, non-profit, and GTI housing. I’ll balance residential development in the core and fight for tenants, homeowners and workers to grow London responsibly, without any more tax increases.
Expanding Treatment
Recovery and detox options and beds remain a healthcare bottleneck in London. I propose to make London a leader in innovative research in advanced therapies to improve outcomes and invite Federal investment into the space.
A Safe Vibrant Downtown
We need more places for our vulnerable citizens: sanitation amenities, pocket parks, and indoor spaces (including Basic Housing) to compassionately clear commercial corridors of open-air drug use and trade. I support investment into general cleanliness, more CIR foot patrols, and nightlife promotion.
City Hall Accountability
I’ll introduce greater transparency on City procurement processes, a whistleblower policy, lobbyist registry, and fight for greater information access to protect Londoners from anonymous corporate landlords.
This site is a work in progress. I’ll be adding deeper writings on the issues presented here and other important topics as the months toward the Oct. 26 election unfold.
Thus far I’ve been collecting in-kind donations of necessities (including this site, paper, toner etc.) and have secured starting cash from friends (old and new) as well as from some family. The volunteer offers have been spectacular. I’m blessed and thankful for the support I’ve already been receiving from our community. I ask that if anyone would like to support this campaign, in any way, they contact me directly:
